QuitVape is a quit-vaping tracker built by Aleksei Cherepanov (the “Service Provider”). Your craving logs, quit attempts, vape profile, money saved, and preferences are stored on your device. No account, no cloud sync, no cross-app tracking. The only data that leaves your device is anonymous, aggregate Firebase Analytics — described below.
What we store on your device
- Your vape profile (device type, nicotine strength, daily cost, currency, accent color).
- Each quit attempt (start date, end date, end reason).
- Each logged event — cravings, slips, and panic-button sessions — with date, optional intensity, optional trigger, and optional note.
- Your preferences (notification toggles, currency selection, onboarding state, Pro entitlement flag, panic-button free-use counter).
- In-app purchase state via Apple StoreKit on-device receipts.
This data lives in a local Core Data store inside the app sandbox. It is never uploaded.
What leaves your device
- None of your craving, attempt, profile, or financial data. No account, no server, no sync.
- Anonymous usage analytics via Firebase Analytics. These contain no craving content, no personal information, no advertising identifier (IDFA), and no precise location. They include screen names, tap events, plan selections, purchase events, app version, iOS version, device model, and the coarse country code Firebase derives from your request IP — so we can fix bugs and understand which features are used.
Third-party services
The Application uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics for Firebase — aggregate product analytics.
- Apple StoreKit — in-app purchases and subscription state.
Firebase is integrated via the FirebaseAnalytics product only — Crashlytics, Remote Config, and the IDFA / ad-attribution features are not enabled. No data is shared with third-party data brokers or ad networks. No cross-app or cross-website tracking occurs, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt ships in this version of the app.
Location
QuitVape does not collect precise or approximate location from your device. The only geographic signal sent is the coarse country code Firebase derives from the request IP, used solely for aggregate analytics.
Notifications
If you enable any of the in-app notifications — the daily check-in, milestone celebrations, or (with Pro) smart craving reminders timed to your peak craving hour — we schedule a local notification via iOS’s UNUserNotificationCenter. No notification content is sent from a server; every reminder fires locally on your device. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings; the rest of the app continues to function.
Purchases
QuitVape Pro is sold via Apple’s StoreKit as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Free trials are available for new subscribers only. Apple handles purchase and subscription data under Apple’s privacy policy. We verify your entitlement on-device; no purchase history is transmitted to us.
Opt-out rights
You can halt all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall process available through iOS or the App Store.
Data deletion
Open Settings → Delete All Data inside the app to wipe every craving, attempt, and preference and reset back to onboarding. Because QuitVape has no server, deleting on-device is total deletion. Uninstalling the app also removes all stored data.
Children
QuitVape is rated 12+ due to references to nicotine use. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13. No personal information is collected from any user.
Health information
The health-recovery milestones and money-saved calculations shown in the app are based on general public-health research, not your specific medical history. The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about nicotine cessation.
Security
The Service Provider takes the confidentiality of your information seriously. Because your craving and attempt data never leaves your device, the primary safeguard is iOS’s own sandboxing and encryption at rest. No security system can prevent all potential issues, but we endeavor to follow Apple’s platform guidance for local data storage.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
This privacy policy is effective as of May 30, 2026.
